Week 114: A New Year & The Rindbach Waterfall

We stood on our rooftop for the third year in a row and said goodbye to 2022.

As the clock rolled to a new year, we watched fireworks going off from every direction around the Traunsee while an old man and woman waltzed around their room from another building.

Week 114 ended with our first adventure of 2023. We drove to the Rindbach Waterfall, a series of small cascades in Ebensee.

The bridge at the Rindbach Waterfall

After a quick 25-minute hike, we reached the bridge and became surrounded by mossy rocks as we watched the water flow from one pool to the next.

The Feurkogel stood in the distance with barely any snow. As we looked out at the mountain, memories of Eric breaking his finger from skiing on our first new years eve came rushing back.

In 2022, we took trips to 11 countries. It was a busy year full of new experiences and we are excited to say 2023 will not be any slower. We head out on our first trip of 2023 on Wednesday. We will spend 5 days north of the Arctic Circle in Lapland (the northernmost part of Finland!!).
